Wes Edens ‘career and philanthropic activities

Wes Edens is a renowned investor with many years of experience under his belt. Wes Edens is a successful investor and a co-founder of fortress group. He is also a huge sports fan, and the love he has for sports has seen him invest in several sports teams. Together with Marc Lasry, they bought Milwaukee Bucks for $ 550 million in 2014.

They bought the club from, Senator Herb Kohl. After purchasing the club, Wes Edens, his partner, and former club owner agreed that their primary focus would be ensuring the club stayed in Milwaukee. To ensure the club franchise stayed in Milwaukee they pledged money to build a new sports arena. Both Wes Edens and his partner promised to give 100 dollars while senator Herb Kohl pledged to provide $ 100. In the fall of 2018, the stadium; Fiserv Forum was completed.

The Fiserv forum was one of a kind, and Eden Wes referred to it as a spectacular outcome since it is not like the other NBA arenas. This sports arena would raise money for the community by hosting different activities in it. Milwaukee Bucks have already a signed a thirty years lease to use the field.

Apart from the Fiserv project, Wes Edens has also participated in many other philanthropic activities. He combined efforts with his wife, Lynn Edens so that they can improve education in the fields that are instrumental in solving the world’s complex problems.

From this spirit, the Edens professorship in global health was created. The professorship is worth $ 2 billion, and it works by emphasising medical geography and health. The professorship has partnered up with Macalester College to achieve its goal of coming up with a broad curriculum which combines art standards with the aim of solving challenges in today’s world. Before the creation of the professorship, the couple worked with partners in health organisation which provides health care in the poor developing nations.
