Troy started work for USHEALTH in 2010. He gained early success as President and CEO of USHEALTH Advisors, the Group’s captive distribution agency. He restored USHEALTH Advisors with such proficiency that he was made President and CEO of USHEALTH Group, Inc. in 2014. As senior executive and board director, Troy is responsible for the entire group’s unprecedented profitability and growth.

Troy indicated that he is honored to receive the award. However, he gave the credit to everyone at USHEALTH Group. He explained that the award is testament to the whole company’s commitment to affordable health care and their willingness to provide innovative health coverage.

Troy began his career in insurance with Allstate Insurance Company in 1983, after graduating from the University of Central Florida with a Bachelor of Arts in Legal Studies. In 1995, he went to work for the Student Insurance Division of United Insurance Companies Inc. (UICI). In 1997, he became President of UGA, a UICI insurance agency. In 2006, UICI became HealthMarkets and Troy was named president in 2007.

Troy is an active philanthropist who gives to several charities and non-profits, including the Semper Fi Fund, HopeKids Dallas, HopeKids Phoenix and the Crisis Nursery Phoenix. Troy also served as a volunteer for Phoenix of New Orleans, and currently serves as a Community Volunteer for Trinity Habitat for Humanity.
